The Vita Bole collection draws direct inspiration from the intricate methods used in woodworking, specifically focusing on constructing mountain chalets where logs are intricately assembled to form the walls. Each tile in the collection reflects the artistry of wood-turning techniques employed to achieve elegant curved shapes. The ends of the tiles also pay homage to the precision of miter cuts utilized during assembly or the oblique cuts made to ensure a tree falls in the desired direction. Recognizing the organic nature of wood as a material, we sought to infuse the collection with a textured surface that mimics the uneven grooves found on the bark of trees.
