The Studio Task series is an extension of the Studio lounge series which Krug introduced in 1999. It has been augmented with a pivotable tablet, storage shelf and optional casters to facilitate its use in a learning or transient environment. The tablet is offered as a black dura-coat painted finish, maple veneer or in tempered glass.

The company was founded in 1880 by Hartman Krug, a master craftsman of German origin. Krug’s first factory was in Berlin, Ontario.
