High-performance, intumescent-type caulking material for firestopping around through penetrations including plastic and insulated pipe



FIRECODE® Brand Intumescent Acrylic Firestop Sealant Type IA is a specially formulated, easy-to-apply caulk-type acrylic material for through-penetration firestop applications, including plastic and insulated pipe. Material expands when heated to fill any voids caused from combustible materials burned or melted during a fire; for example, penetrations with plastic or insulated pipe. FIRECODE Brand Intumescent Acrylic Firestop Sealant Type IA meets ASTM E814 (ANSI/UL 1479) ULC-S115 in tests conducted at Underwriters Laboratories.



FIRECODE® Brand Intumescent Acrylic Firestop Sealant Type IA remains flexible when dry, making it resistant to damage from impact and preventing it from cracking. It is easy to apply using conventional caulking equipment. Adheres to most surfaces without priming, making it quick and easy to apply. Applied FIRECODE Brand Intumescent Acrylic Firestop Sealant Type IA is a rust red color easily seen and identified by fire marshals. Once fully cured, it can be painted. FIRECODE Intumescent Acrylic Firestop Sealant Type IA meets ASTM E814 (ANSI/UL 1479) ULC-S115 in tests conducted at Underwriters Laboratories.
