When installing RAMPART wall protection over irregular wall conditions, RAMPART Stronghold will create a smooth base surface. Once a waterbased adhesive is applied to the wall liner, the water hardens the material, creating a surface similar to a hard plaster veneer. It can be used to hide cracks, joints, pores, patches, and other surface irregularities.
RSL 602 is recommended for use over rigid panels such as Acrovyn and Inpro, marble, granite, laminate, narrow groove paneling, metal, glass, chalkboard/whiteboard, or other smooth, non-porous surfaces, before installing RAMPART wall protection. It can also be used over newly installed sheetrock to avoid the cost of skim coating, in most cases.
RSL 609 is an alternative formulation that can be used over concrete block (CMU), ceramic tile, brick, plaster, damaged sheetrock, or other irregular surfaces.
