USG Covercoat Compound

For smoothing and finishing interior concrete surfaces

COVER COAT® Brand Compound is a premium, vinyl-base material for filling and smoothing monolithic interior concrete ceilings and columns located above grade. Available in ready-mixed form, the product can easily be applied with standard drywall tools, without an extra bonding agent. The product dries to a fine, white surface that can be left unpainted on non-contact ceiling surfaces. Not washable unpainted on contact surfaces; overpaint when dry. It can also be used for embedding drywall tape; as the first fill coat on metal bead, trim and fasteners; and for skim-coating and texturing drywall.

COVER COAT® Brand Compound is factory mixed for consistently high quality and smooth application. Its creamy consistency makes application fast and easy. The compound boasts minimum drying shrinkage, and the vinyl binder provides excellent bond that resists flaking, chipping and scuffing. The white, extra-smooth finish is attractive enough for use without decoration, and the smooth surface means superior results with less sanding.
