Segis has recently augmented its scope and reach through its commitment to Segis USA. This American arm of the manufacturer employs a “quick ship” program for specifiers on tight deadlines. The protocol enables enhanced applications for U.S. markets: “we already have some aggressive new product development plans in process and will continue to invest heavily in this vitally important area.”

• Highway— Designed by Bartoli Design in 2007 and augmented in 2009, Highway is a collection of modular seating with lean lines and whimsical variations. Possessed of an inherent dynamism, Highway personifies movement. The modular units enable curvy connections and intriguing misdirections. Styles include the lounger N, the circular Q and R, and the vivacious Loop.
• Poppystar— The Poppystar Group is a collection of stacking armchairs made of polypropylene-reinforced fiberglass. With large, looping arms and a generous enveloping back, Poppystar synthesizes function and ergonomic performance with a light, bright, and innovative aesthetic. Segis offers Poppystar in a wide range of appealing, energizing colors, including red, yellow, navy, aqua, and fuchsia. An outdoor version with a drainage hole in the seat is available in mint, light grey, and ivory.
• Tau— Designed by Roberto Romanello, Tau is a line of swiveling stools in the intriguing form of an upright cone. Offered in two heights (62 and 76 cm), Tau provides simple, streamlined seating for a variety of applications. The rigid yet comfortable upholstery consists of non-deformable polyurethane foam wrapped in polyester wadding. Finish options include fabric, leather, or simulated leather. Variations for the 76 cm model include back and footrest. The durable base is constructed of steel with a chromed or powder-coated finish.
