Description

Formerly a division of LG Chem, LG Hausys relaunched itself as an independent building and decorative materials company. Using the industry's most advanced technology, LG Hausys makes eco-friendly and functional products for many uses, including floors, surfaces, sign & graphics, and automotive interiors. LG Hausys America is headquartered in Atlanta, with a solid surface manufacturing facility located nearby; regional offices are also located in Detroit and Los Angeles.

  • High Gloss Deco Foil: Deco Foil by LG Hausys provides a high-grade surface that uses advanced print process technology. High Gloss Deco Foil offers a spectacularly glossy surface that is stylish and durable: “The surface is covered with protective film while the reverse is coated with primer to promote a durable bond.” Available in 13 colors, including nine solids and four wood-like patterns, High Gloss is designed for 3D lamination on MDF board for use in contoured furniture components, cabinet doors, drawer fronts, office furniture, and store fixtures. The glossy surface also offers mark and abrasion resistance, as well as superb thermal stability in high temperatures.
  • HI-MACS: LG Hausys’ proprietary solid surface material, known as HI-MACS, is made from mineral aluminum hydroxide (ATH), a natural mineral obtained from aluminum ore, plus one third acrylic resin (polymethyl methacrylate or PMMA) and 5% natural pigments. The resulting material can be used for virtually limitless applications, including kitchen surfaces, bathroom sinks, floors, walls, partitions, and 3-dimensional installations. In Fact, LG Hausys sponsors a yearly HI-MACS design competition to unleash designers’ creativity and discover the possibilities of the material. Available in 110 colors and finishes—including solid colors and stone-like patterns—HI-MACS can also be color-matched to any shade imaginable. The material is non-porous, scratch- and stain-resistant, easy to clean, and self-sealing. Produced in sheets, HI-MACS undergoes a double thermal curing process that makes the substance uniform and virtually indestructible.
  • NATURELIFE: A durable, true-to-life heterogeneous commercial sheet flooring, NATURELIFE includes 20% recycled content and offers FloorScore® certification for low VOCs. Designed for the most demanding healthcare, education, and government applications, NATURELIFE withstands heavy traffic, contains embedded anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties, and offers easy maintenance. Available in North America under the Shaw Hard Surface brand, NATURELIFE features a matte finish with an exclusive “Embossed in Register” wood surfacing technology where the pattern matches the texture of wood. With a diverse color range, NATURELIFE has something to match every interior style, from modern to traditional—from Light Maple to Chocolate Oak and Caramel Vertical Bamboo to American Cherry. NATURELIFE also offers a wide range of colors such as Tucson Terracotta and Greystone Castle.
  • LG Hausys’ main business is in surface materials (solid surfaces, quartz surfaces), flooring, Vinyl Coated Material (VCM), sign & graphic material, and automotive components. LG Hausys America continues to expand its localized production toward green, energy-saving materials and electronic & information components.
