Since 1954, Florida Tile has consistently taken the lead as an innovator by implementing new technology, delivering high quality products and protecting our indoor and outdoor environments. The corporate headquarters are located in beautiful Lexington, Kentucky. Products are manufactured and distributed from a state of the art, Green Squared® certified, Advanced Manufacturing Center in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Florida Tile also operates 23 Tile & Stone Showrooms nationwide.
Florida Tile found a perfect partner in 2006, when Panariagroup purchased the company. One of the leading Italian manufactures, Panariagroup is comprised of 8 brands with manufacturing in 3 countries. With a strong international presence, the brands are distributed in over 100 countries around the world.
As a result of this partnership and after a $25 million investment, Florida Tile now has a production line to manufacture large-format through-body porcelain tiles, one of only three such factories in the U.S., as well as the technology to create High Definition Porcelain (HDP) products through the most modern technology available, digital printing.
In 2007 Florida Tile was the first to attain the Greenguard Environmental Institute certification for all of its products. This certification states that their product line produces no emissions of hazardous chemicals known as VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) in indoor environments.
As part of their CARES program, Florida Tile began its partnership in 2006 with Tile Partners for Humanity. Through this group, Florida Tile has been able to donate material to local and national organizations such as Mountain Re-Source and Operation Compassion.
In recent years, Florida Tile also began to be honored for its efforts to manufacture products using environmentally friendly processes. It has been recognized by the College of Agriculture at the University of Kentucky for its achievements in resource sustainability practices. It was also honored by the Kentucky Energy Alliance for its commitment to energy management, promoting sustainable practices and creating an impact at state, regional and global levels. In 2012, Florida Tile received Green Squared Certification for all tile lines produced in its Kentucky plant.
