StruXure Outdoor™was founded in 2011 by Scott Selzer, CEO and Chief Product Architect. The company’s genesis sprang from Scott’s experience as a part-time remodeling contractor during breaks from his full-time job as a middle school teacher. Scott’s desire to find the best solutions for his home-improvement clients, coupled with his entrepreneurial spirit, led to the launch of Adjustable Patio Covers, a company focused on improving outdoor spaces, and one of the first to bring an adjustable louvered system to the East Coast. As the company grew in popularity among locals, Scott quickly found ways to redesign, innovate, and patent a higher quality version of his initial product offering, which led to the opening of Arcadia Building Product, which was rebranded to StruXure Outdoor™ late last year.
The Pivot, a louvered pergola designed and engineered to withstand all types of weather conditions, was StruXure’s first offering in 2011. The Pivot’s unique full 170°range of motion became a favorite among residential clients, and boosted the company’s growth exponentially. It also provided the basis for other products, including the Slide, which opens for an unobstructed sky view, as well as the Pivot XL, which can be expanded to any size needed and, therefore, has attracted interest from commercial and industrial clients.
The company’s continued growth has led to the opening of two state-of-the- art manufacturing facilities: the corporate headquarters in north Georgia, and StruXure’s West Coast manufacturing facility in Henderson, Nevada. StruXure has also opened several distribution facilities to keep up with its growing national dealer network, which spans from Canada to the Caribbean.
