SureSpan EX

provides continuous transition and bridging to existing air barrier materials

R-Guard SureSpan EX is a flexible, durable silicone material designed to help create flexible and durable transitions between various types of air and water barriers and the curtainwall, storefront, or window being installed. SureSpan EX provides a continuous bridge between the window and/or curtainwall openings and the adjacent air and vapor barrier materials. SureSpan EX is designed for high movement, dynamic joints which are too large to be spanned by R-Guard Joint & Seam Filler or R-Guard FastFlash.

SureSpan EX absorbs thermal movement and wind-loading stresses. The system spans and seals across irregular window geometries. SureSpan EX is fully compatible with most window sealants and glazing materials. R-Guard SureSpan EX is an extruded, elastomeric, pre-cured sealant that is bonded to substrates with R-Guard FastFlash. SureSpan EX‰гў is supplied in a translucent caution yellow to simplify inspection and quality control.
