Jupe patented this table in 1835 when he invented a way to expand a circular table to a bigger size and still be able to keep it circular. This table is hard to beat for sheer ingenuity
This table is expanding from small (8 persons) to medium (12 persons) to big (16 tables). Three sizes in one table. To see the mechanism in action is an exciting experience. It’s absolutely stunning.
The table is built in walnut and French polished. This is also an improved model.
The table is a true replica of an original located in Scotland.
The original tables are extremely rare and can be worth about $500,000.
The table will be hand built in Norway by great craftsmen at Tjerand Fine Furniture.
