Emeco brushed chairs are anodized, an electrolytic process that changes the surface of the aluminum chair from aluminum to diamond-hard aluminum oxide.
The new chair is an update of an original Emeco chair made for Navy hospitals from 1951. The lower cost chairs and stools have durable ABS seats and backs in five colors and a brushed/ anodized frame that stacks six high. White and silver chairs and stools can be used indoors or out.
