Dark gray with brown tonality. Gallatin has many small fossils, creating a slightly flecked appearance. It also contains larger fossils which stand out as cream and silver against the gray-brown background.

weathering characteristic:
Like all limestones, Gallatin will fade when used outside or when exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time.

This limestone can be used in both interior and exterior applications. Slip-, heat- and frost-resistant. Used for centuries in Europe. One of the only limestones in the world that can take a flamed finish. Hard, dense and durable. Like all limestones, Gallatin is affected by acids. No detrimental effects on the environment.
