Design Antonio Citterio (2001)
The George system consists of two different types of sofas which both have a tubular metal base, yet are available with or without seat cushions. The first sofa has a softer look thanks to the seat cushioning with classic cross stitching. The second system, without seat cushions but still with cross-stitching, is deeper and has wider armrests. The system comprises a sofa, end units in two sizes, and two chaise-lounge end units. A headrest can be installed on the backrests to provide better support of the upper back. Completing the system is a rectangular chaise-lounge with an adjustable reclining backrest, and a square ottoman. The sofa collection is complemented by two armchairs in two different sizes with narrow armrests, and by a square ottoman.
