Mummy’s Wrap, beautiful Belgian linen, mimics the traditional hand-loomed textiles of many artisan cultures, whereby fabrics are woven on small looms in strips and then stitched together. The stitching on Mummy’s Wrap mimics this technique without actually being stitched together – this jacquard “stitching” is a tone-on-tone stripe running the length of the bolt, providing a nice vertical rhythm for both drapery or upholstery. Mummy’s Wrap also features the exquisite weight, drape, and same special finish as Donghia’s classic heavy linen, Mummy’s Cloth – each textile having a crumpled, relaxed feel that gives it its “throw-away chic” air.
