The design of the Woodbridge Collection embodies Donghia’s long history of meticulous attention paid to exquisite tailoring and upholstery details - yet with it’s own detailed wood elements reminiscent of wooden bridges so often built in rural 19th century America. Woodbridge’s distinguishing design feature is the beautiful, expansive ribbon-like curve of wood floating over the upholstered arm, creating a bridge effect. The pieces are also distinguished by their open, plinth-like wooden base that runs the depth of the pieces on each side and follows the curve of the sides of the piece.
