PRODUCT DETAILS

Manufacturer's Product Description

Dichrolam™, (DYE - kro - lam) is a composite lamination of glass, resins and dichroic polymer layers that change color at different viewing angles.

The "Sea Textures" line of Dichrolam has actual 3D topographic texture locked under the glass in the resin, while other versions are flat like a mirror.

The rich saturation of color and the color shifting properties are not pigments or dyes that can fade, but rather the result of multilayer interference called "dichroism" based on thin film physics, which are the exact same optical physics of the gemstone Opal.

Manufactured in panels up to 50" x 120" in code compliant Cat II certified safety glass, IGU's, or simple wall tiles, horizontal surfacing or inlays and even acrylic for fabrication ease and weight reduction.

Dichrolam made the top ten list of wildest materials in the Material ConneXion library, IIDEX NeoCon "Most Innovative Product" and is specified by top architects from Bloomberg to MTV and found in many Children's Hospitals, medical centers and corporate lobbys.
