The SL60 is a thermally broken, aluminum folding panel system designed to provide an opening glass wall or storefront for openings up to 36 feet wide. It is appropriate for mostly residential applications where higher levels of resistance to air and water infiltration are desired.
Unique Features:
Weather-Tight
The system is engineered to provide weather tightness and high structural performance. The inward-opening unit with raised sill tested to AAMA HGD- R40 with no water entry, even at 18 psf (structural rating not applicable for panels larger than test size). Other independent tests confirm high resistance to water penetration and air infiltration not only when new, but even after 10,000 operation cycles. See the Performance Section for more details.
Life Cycle Tested-AW
In European life cycle testing (more exacting than AAMA 910-93, with 10,000 cycles instead of 2,500 cycles), the inward opening SL60 had no damage to fasteners, hardware parts, or any other damage that caused the system to be inoperable, and air infiltration and water resistance tests did not exceed Gateway Performance Requirements for Hinged Glass Door, HGD-R40.
NFRC-Approved Thermal Performance / Energy Star
The SL60 with raised sill has been rated, certified and labeled in accordance with NFRC 100.See the Performance Section for further details.
Acoustical Performance
The SL60 system has been tested by an independent acoustic lab for acoustical performance. The SL60 with raised sill and STC 39 laminated glass achieved STC and Rw values of 38.
Superior Thermal Break
The system is thermally broken with a 9/16" (14 mm) polyamide plastic reinforced with glass fibers. This thermal barrier provides increased strength, superior humidity control, improved acoustics and energy savings.
Top-Hung or Floor-Mounted
On the top-hung SL60/o, the main weight is carried by the head track. On the floor-mounted SL60/u, the lower running carriages ride on top of the sill track. Variable interlocking profiles minimize expansion problems.
Especially For High-Rises: Easy Cleaning Feature
For balcony applications, there is an easy hinge removal option, facilitating glass cleaning from the inside.
Dual Color Options
Hundreds of high quality anodized and powder-coated finishes are available.For the SL60, the option of different finishes on the inside and outside is also available. See Color Selection.

Large Exterior Openings Are Possible
With NanaWall Folding Systems, openings can range from as few as two panels to as many as twelve panels. Openings can be as wide as 36'. With paired panels, virtually unlimited widths are possible.
Engineered, Tested Systems from a Single Source Supplier
NanaWall have been engineered and independently tested for air and water penetration resistance, structural deflection, thermal performance and forced entry. The SL60 and SL70 are NFRC certified and labeled, and have also been tested for acoustic performance. The SL72 is Miami-Dade County hurricane approved.
Secure
Multiple point locking that operates with a turn of a handle. The top and bottom shoots bolts between each folding pair of panels have a full one inch throw. Independent tests confirm that the locking system passes strict California forced entry testing requirements. No surface mounted flush bolts.

Versatile functions with swing entry/exit panel(s) option and with flexibility to fully or partially open. Ease of operation to quickly open or close wide openings.

Depending on the configuration selected, door closers can be incorporated and units can be prepared for panic devices provided by others.Custodial hardware is also available.
Complete, Coordinated Glass Walls
With the SL joining system, complete, coordinated glass walls can be provided with various folding doors and folding windows combinations, individual sliding panel system (HSW or VSW), matching French Doors, transoms, side lites, and corner posts. NanaScreens
The NanaScreen, a series of collapsible pleated screen panels riding on a single track is available as an option. This system has been designed to be out-of-view when not in use; see "Screens" for more information.
