The unique Astral bench was designed in 1979 by Per Borre and has won a host of awards for its sculptural shape and innovative construction. It comprises only two repeat elements that go together to create the back and seat. The construction forms a semi-circle whereby the bench bears its own weight and creates a unique seated sculpture. The bench is made from lacquered maple or ash. It is also available oiled jatoba for outdoor use. Astral is also available as a straight bench.
