Bar Grating Stair Treads - Type C

Type C stair treads are typically offered in a welded or swaged construction and are made with a cast abrasive aluminum nosing that is welded to the leading edge of the tread. The stair treads are fabricated from stock panels.


Product Information
Type C Stair Treads are available in a variety of bar heights: 1 inch, 1-1/4 inch, 1-1/2 inch, 1-3/4 inch, 2 inch, and 2-1/2 inch. A swaged or press locked construction is also available. The bearing bars are made with a variety of thicknesses, materials, and spacings.
End Plates
End plates are welded to the ends of the stair tread. The diagram below shows the end view of an end plate and its dimensions.
