Poplar is reclaimed mainly from the Ohio River Valley, and is found throughout many of the barns and rural dwellings populating this region. Poplar was basically used in two different applications, siding and light structural beams. The reclaimed light structural beams that are found in these buildings tend to yield more uniform coloring which is seen in the Raked Poplar Grade 1.
