Reef Industries Griffolyn® vapor retarders can prevent water vapor from causing poor insulation performance, structural damage and other moisture related problems. The Griffolyn® vapor retarder systems low permeance keeps moisture from infiltrating slabs and damaging floors.

Reef Industries offers a complete system of polyethylene vapor retarders, seaming tapes, and pipe boots for total moisture infiltration control. The main components of the Griffolyn® vapor retarder system are several grades of high performance polyethylene materials made of HDPE (high density polyethylene) or LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene). The composites are reinforced with a heavy-duty polyester cord grid for high strength and durability. This reinforcement grid provides superior strength, limiting and minimizing tears and punctures commonly associated with installation.

Griffolyn® vapor retarders can be manufactured in sizes to meet project requirements up to 200 ft x 200 ft (61 m x 61 m), significantly reducing the number of in-field seams and the potential for failure. Reef Industries provides Fab Tape to create a durable field seam between multiple vapor retarder sections to completely control the penetration of moisture.
