Manufacturer's Product Description

DESCRIPTION:
Dub'l Loop-Lok Ladder Reinforcement with interlocking heavy-duty Grip-Lok Plate in the brick wythe. Plate accepts a Continuous Joint Reinforcing Wire.
Features:
Loops welded shut to maintain allowable tolerance and system integrity
Allows in-plane vertical and horizontal movement of masonry wythes while restraining tension and compression
Grip-Lok Plate T-Head configured to allow simple engagement into Loop-Lok, yet disengagement is prevented
Heavy-duty Grip-Lok Plate accepts 9 gauge or 3/16? continuous horizontal joint reinforcing wire
New Tru-Joint feature: Loops are flattened where welded onto backup truss to reduce wire buildup, allowing usage in standard 3/8? mortar joint
Benefits:
Enhanced Performance: The use of a continuous wire in masonry veneer walls is beneficial in providing additional protection against problems arising from thermal expansion and contraction. It also allows for a more uniform distribution of lateral forces.
Seismic Zone Conformance: This system conforms to the requirements of the Uniform Building Code for seismic zones. The code requires anchored veneer walls to have a continuous wire embedded in the mortar joint. The wire is secured to the tie anchor, which is fastened to the supporting structure.
