Manufacturer's Product Description

MEM is not a new self-contained series of fittings, but more an ongoing process looking to provide answers in response to the personal requirements of every individual person in the bathroom. This concept takes shape in mix-and-match fittings and modules, as well as in idea drafts and perspectives. With their flat, wide spout, the MEM fittings represent a fresh, elementary approach to the aesthetics of fittings.

Designer

Even whilst studying architecture, Dieter Sieger, the former of “sieger design”, started to realize his own projects. He built entire estates with a sprinkling of unusual villas in Germany and other countries in between – this was his first career as an architect. The second – as a shipbuilder – followed when the passionate sailor started to fit out yachts, both sailing and motor yachts, for his demanding clientele. His love of detail established his third career as industrial designer in the 80’s when he modernized the bathroom facilities on the boats. This was the time when he got in contact with the sanitary industry including Dornbracht.

In 1985 the water-tap “Domani” one of the most awarded water-taps of the world was created. A lot of other water-taps followed, for example “Tara”, the most successful water-taps of Dornbracht which is sold now in over 60 countries of the world. The family company “sieger design” – run by the sons Christian and Michael – is today one of the most famous design offices of Europe. The team of 30 employees works together with over 300 designers worldwide. Brand names like Ritzenhoff or Octopus were created at “sieger design”. From the initial idea to the marketing strategy, from the design to product development right up to and including packaging. From the catalogue to the POS display – “sieger design” does it all. “sieger design” attempts to see problems as a challenge. It wants to find creative solutions. This approach makes it clear when Dornbracht engaged “sieger design” as “Art Director”.
