The Yellow Faceted Urn Vase is an exquisite example of the fine art of Chinese glassblowing and clearly demonstrates how artist Robert Kuo has been able to take an ancient technique and update it with a modern form and a rich golden color. Mimicking the rich, natural colors of rare "butterscotch" jade, the gentle bowed shape unites with the cool vertical lines to imbue the design with a graceful flair. The gradations of color from top to bottom give the piece a sense of depth and drama. Each piece is created for McGuire in limited quantities and signed by the artist.
