The form of a traditional Chinese bench becomes the canvas for artist Robert Kuo. Using ancient techniques, artisans transform the top and legs of this copper design with a geometric pattern of black lacquer and copper repousse. The decorative chased work of the repousse inspires its name as the Pebble Bench. The soft-shouldered edges of this rectangular design give it a pleasing, tactile quality. The unique design makes a dramatic statement as bench for a hallway, at the foot of a bed or as a low coffee table. Each bench is signed, numbered and dated.
