With a nod to traditional Far Eastern design, this simple, organic chair relies on large rattan poles and rawhide bindings for its distinction. An adaptation of a splat-back chair design, the rattan poles are slightly curved to conform to the body's natural contours. This design by Eleanor Forbes is paired with an upholstered seat cushion, held above an apron and stretcher of vertical rattan poles.
