The most celebrated piece by a master of Spanish design, the TMM (Tramo Movil Madera--winner of the ADI-FAD critics' prize 1962) is an exquisite demonstration of formal serenity and functional efficiency. A base in the form of a cross supports a square shaft and the drum-shaped, height-adjustable and freely rotatable shade. A light tug on the cotton-covered electrical cord switches the lamp one and off.
