Description

Eureka Lighting's designs are polished, streamlined and functional, with equally sophisticated options in diffuse and focused lighting. Eureka’s strongest work is in its wall-mounted and suspended single-element designs. The best of these evoke a sleek and minimalist retro-futurism, with gentle curves and surfaces that alternately sparkle and glow from within.

  • Wall Mounted Lighting — Eureka Lighting manufactures its largest range of designs in the category of wall mounted lights, many of which consist of long, diffusive tubes flush mounted to the wall. Notable among the other designs are the Tongo, a single curved shade of chrome with 5 circular perforations through which the light escapes, and the Torcha, a downward-pointed arrow of chrome folded like a shining paper airplane in a nosedive.
  • Suspended Lighting — Eureka's hanging lamps include single- and multi-element fixtures. Highlights include: the Snowlab line, in a classic bell shape updated with modern materials, available in translucent chrome or brown glass; the Float, which features 1-4 independently pivoting elements within a clean glass cube; and the simplest of all, the Cone, which is precisely that, in chrome.
  • Recessed Lighting — Eureka manufactures recessed lighting solutions for both wall and ceiling mounts. These tend to feature more clear glass than the standard frosted Eureka models. Most are available as fixed or directional spots, with or without decorative chrome trim.
  • Ceiling Lighting — These surface-mounted designs are nearly all frosted, and most do not include the visible chrome frames and mounts typical of other Eureka products. Among these is one of the most original Eureka designs, the X -Ray, which luminesces through an X shaped pattern of light on its flat, matte lower surface.
  • Track Lighting — Eureka’s track heads are slim and unostentatious. The double-axis pivoting Bass and the sharp bevel-ended Bogart lamps particularly stand out for their innovative design. Eureka also manufactures the tracks and circuitry for these multi-element systems. While still manufacturing many fixtures for traditional, brilliant metal halide lamps, Eureka is phasing in an increasing number of energy-efficient fluorescent designs. With offices in Montreal and Vancouver, Eureka’s distribution extends throughout North America.
