Design Inspiration
This dramatic print was derived from an original Schumacher circa 1930's hand blocked linen print discovered in the Schumacher archives. Its pattern was likely an adaptation of a classic crewel embroidery, which features a traditional tree of life motif. Its bold quality and grand scale were retained in this newest interpretation, but it has been softened through a printed texture screen which enhances its textured 100% linen ground.
