Design Inspiration
This bold but simple monochromatic print has been adapted from a small print discovered on the lining of a stomacher--the bodice of a woman's attire--in Colonial Williamsburg's collections. The original, likely of English origin, was wood block printed on cotton and dates circa 1730.
