Description:
Alto is a family of stools created by designer Michael Marriott to fulfil a number of different seating applications. The curved leather and plywood seat of each stool sits on top of an elegant fluid steel frame. Marriottкs use of flat oval section steel tube offers structural advantages whilst also creating a literal and visual lightness to the design. The void beneath the seat is emphasised, exaggerating the cantilevering of the seat above it. The effect is challenging and surprising.

The Alto is a solid seating design ideal for applications in commercial and residential spaces. The stools are available in two sizes, the largest intended for use as a bar stool. A black leather upholstered seat or a black stained plywood seat are available for both sizes.
