Manufacturer's Product Description

Naoto Fukasawa, 2010
Naoto Fukasawa joined Vitra to develop the Kuubo table system with the goal of maximising flexibility for users and with a focus on sleek, formal design. Kuubo lends itself to many different work processes, particularly when open communication is practiced.
The spacious work platform floats on cylindrical column bases and acts as a central platform in the open plan office for both planned and ad-hoc meetings. It is perfect for discussions in small or large groups, presentations, team project work, temporary independent work, meetings, but also for social congregations and special occasions.
Kuubo is a work platform that was tailored for contemporary, flexible work organisation (team work, communication among equals) and the use of modern technology (laptop, mobile telecommunication). This makes Kuubo a project table, presentation platform, conference table, territorial or temporary workstation all at the same time. Creative work driven by the exchange of ideas is facilitated and cultivated.
Kuubo can be configured in different sizes and fitted with integrated compartments in the table top. The lockable temporary storage spaces feature power and data connections. Table legs, where a cable is run along the carrier to the boxes, are used for electrification.
Lockable, electrified boxes are integrated into the table top for quickly changing between users and applications. Files or laptops can also be stored away in the integrated box compartments and accessed at any time without interrupting the workflow. That's how work starts and stops with a tidy desktop, with a clean slate.
Kuubo is available in various configurations. While the Kuubo Table consists of two opposite table tops and two sideways docked end plates (that are optionally also available without boxes), Kuubo Benches can have several table tops connected to each other, making them configurable with different lengths.
