When Austrian artist Roland Graf designed this table, it started with a passion for the simple and a great respect for the cabinet-maker’s craft. He describes his work as a designer as a kind of relaxation and therapy from his work as an artist. The prototype of The Graf Table was manufactured without the use of computers or other high-techs. The form emerged in the production process.
‘For this table, I played with the most simple materials that I could find. I used round steel for the table legs and bent it in a way that you would probably only bend a wire coat hanger when you break into cars says Roland Graf, explaining how he created the table by hand.’
The table is available with legs in stainless steel in black or chrome. The tabletop comes in oiled bamboo.
