Manufacturer's Product Description

The liftslide door system is a roller system of European design. It allows door panels to be lifted above a 3/16" flush track to roll easily when opening or closing the door. When lowered, the weight of the door, a special gasketing system, and multi-point locking provide excellent weather resistance and security.

In contrast to conventional sliding doors, this well engineered door system can be built to fill significantly larger than normal openings. The door system can be built in a straight or curved line and can be stacked or pocketed into walls. Large screen doors, designed by Weiland, are also available. Liftslides are available in aluminum with interior wood cladding, all aluminum, or all wood.

ULTRA-LARGE SIZES
The Weiland liftslide is engineered to meet the performance demands of custom architecture. With proven structural integrity and backed by AAMA testing, ultra-large panels, as tall as 16 feet and openings over 60' wide have been specified for impressive architectural projects, creating truly inspiring spaces.

THE WEILAND FLUSH TRACK
One of the distinguishing features of our liftslide is the Weiland flush bottom track which projects above the finished floor by only 3/16". This creates a beautiful and seamless transition between interior and exterior living spaces.

Both the Weiland standard and patented drainage flush track systems have been tested and meet AAMA performance standards for air and water infiltration. The patented full drainage track option is available to help accommodate variations in flooring materials to further enhance the door system's weather resistance, including certified hurricane ratings.

Weiland's hardened, anodized marine grade aluminum track has been successfully time tested for over 20 years in coastal and harsh weather environments. Although corrosion resistant, stainless steel caps used by others are typically very thin and soft and extremely prone to denting or other damage. As a result, larger doors may become more difficult to operate over time. In fact, a stainless steel cap may actually contribute to galvanic corrosion depending on what metal it is in contact with.
