The shell-like back of the Aria Chair is methodically crafted with hand-carved convex and concave curves. Each grain-matched stave is carved and attached to its mate with concealed alignment pins. The arms of the armchair connect with a floating tenon that merges flush with the back and seat. Unlike stacked and laminated furniture, the entire surface is seamless to the touch.
