Manufacturer's Product Description

Type A stair treads are offered in an aluminum locked by swaging construction and are made with a corrugated (grooved) nosing that is welded to the leading edge of the tread. The stair treads are fabricated from stock panels.

Product Information
There are two bearing bar shapes available for Type A stair treads. The most common is the Rectangular bar shape because it offers more strength than the ?I? bar shape. The ?I? bar shape is more suited to architectural design. Type A stair treads are available in a variety of bar heights: 1, 1-1/4, 1-1/2, or 1-3/4 inches.
