Antique Heart Pine was the fiber of choice throughout the Industrial Revolution in mill buildings and factories. Vertical Grain Heart Pine is reclaimed from ample mill decking that was produced quarter-sawn for its original use. These mill buildings and factories are surprisingly uniform and consistent in how they were manufactured. The buildings consist of columns, structural timbers, and thick decking located on each factory floor and within the roof system. Each of these components provides us with different types of wood fiber creating several types of grades.

Due to the unique applications of the fiber and the sheer volume of material available, two types of flooring can be created: Plank Floor and a Green Floor.
