Foamkore-FR is a ASTM E 84 Class A product that consists of a high density Magnesium Oxide Board face that is non-flammable and non-combustible combined with a lightweight polystyrene core to create a structural balanced lightweight non-combustible panel. Foamkore-FR is constructed by capturing a lightweight polystyrene foam core with higher density face panels to provide a strong light-weight panel with structural integrity. The core product is a lightweight extruded polystyrene foam (XPF) that is closed cell in structure and provides a consistent and very uniform surface to process. The sand-wich panel construction method incorporates the use of thinner outer panels bonded to a thicker lighter core to achieve a very versatile strong lightweight panel.

Foamkore-FR has been tested in accordance with ASTM E 84 and achieved the following results:
Flame Spread 0
Smoke Development 0

This Class A result can allow the use of Foamkore-FR in applications where codes dictate these requirements are necessary.

Foamkore-FR is available in standard nominal 4’x 8’ size. It is also available with special order in a nominal 4’ x 10’ size. The product can be produced in any thickness from 3/4” up to 3”. Certain other special sizes and options may be available by contacting the factory for avail-ability.
