Ancient Egyptian culture is most commonly associated with the image of the scarab. It is a symbol of the creator and the sun. Taoists view the insect as a symbol of immortality. The balls that they make draw parallels to their belief in the pill of immortality. This stool is a reflection of this revered insect.
