Wings is a jewelry box that was commissioned as a gift for a fifth wedding anniversary- the Wood Anniversary. The client was looking for a design feature that would stand apart from other boxes. My solution was to have the box open up from the center, treating it like a special package gradually revealing its contents. The doors open wide to expose a removable tray for storing a variety of jewelry. There is space underneath the tray providing additional storage. The body and handles are crafted from Bolivian Rosewood and the doors are Black Limba.
