CUSTOM WORK - Made on commission

Tortoise is a pair of end tables in Black Walnut and tiles made of recycled glass. They were commissioned to help furnish a TV room. The design arose from the client's wish for the tables to have tiled tops and a size restraint of a 1' x 2' footprint. The hexagonal tiles and resulting pattern were influenced by the shells of terrapins. This idea extended to the upward taper of the legs and the beveling of the top and shelf.
