Manufacturer's Product Description

General Specifications
The kiln casting must occur in a manner that provides glass to return to its original annealed state to meet all factory specifications. If holes are required to receive hardware, it is preferential that the holes or notches be cast into the glass rather than drilled after the casting. Patterns may shift slightly during the casting process and pattern alignment will be within 3/16".
Upon casting, the glass can be tempered and surface polished. JBGS cast glass is free of divitrification and tempering marks. The glass may vary in thickness and flatness.
Installation of kiln cast glass is the same as clear float glass. Please take into account that the framing and glazing methods are of equal importance to the glass. It is required to be installed in accordance with current national building standards. It is important to inspect the condition of the architectural glass and hardware on an annual basis to ensure all components are performing adequately.

Maintenance Information ? Treated Glass
Architectural glass should be reviewed at least annually in order to ensure that related components are performing adequately. After ensuring the glass is firmly affixed, or fastened in place, and all adjacent materials are functioning satisfactorily, cleaning can be carried out in the following manner.
Cleaning A feather duster is ideal for regular day-to-day cleaning of glass. Care should be taken not to catch the edges of the appliqué pieces.
Cleaning
If a more thorough cleaning of coated glass is necessary, the following materials and methods should be used.
Materials - Soft lint free cloth (Do not use coarse brown paper towels), and a non-abrasive, non-caustic glass cleaner (Diluted Clear-Vu, water, mild alkaline soap. Do not use acidic or strong alkaline solutions).
Method - Spray the cloth lightly with cleaning solution, DO NOT SPRAY THE GLASS DIRECTLY. Dab the cloth softly on the glass surface to remove dust and lint. For more heavily soiled areas, use a light circular motion to remove dirt.
Clean all accessible surfaces of the glass including edges, this will improve light transmission, and add to the lustre of the glass. Note: This document is not intended to supersede the manufacturers maintenance information developed for related or adjacent materials. Where available, individual product manufacturers maintenance information must be followed. If you have any questions regarding the above, please call 1-888-505-GLASS.
