This piece was made for the invitational art show “For the Birds” by Coady Contemporary Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2005. The show asked artists to create a birdhouse that was either functional or conceptual. I decided to make a piece of functional art with a block birdhouse on top. The table contains a small drawer to hold a set of keys or some feed.
