Manufacturer's Product Description

Functionality, longevity, pleasing lines and environmental responsibility.
My goal is to produce fine furniture that accomplishes these core objectives in equal parts.
This is furniture that will last generations, both structurally and aesthetically.

These are all original designs with influences ranging from Asian architecture to Medieval furnishings to rustic lodge appointments. Only the most select raw materials are sourced, only the most traditional old world techniques are used. I want your Grandchildren to quarrel over who will get your furniture. Three main ingredients in each bespoke piece are:
Design
Everything is drawn up from scratch incorporating timeless proportion and ultimate functionality. A table must appear sturdy, capable; bookcases solid and proud; chairs inviting and comfortable.
Materials
The wood is the real star of the show. Each piece of wood is carefully selected for it's color, grain, figuring and stability. From the largest table tops to the inside of drawers, careful thought is given to ensure a beautiful product. All items created from salvaged and reclaimed materials feature full historical provenance, a detailed account of your furniture's past lives.
Technique
Simply put, this is furniture built to last; the way it was before IKEA discovered 1001 uses for particle board. Every single piece is crafted by hand with methodical planning and precision joinery, with every intention of lasting generations. Any design can be altered for size or type of wood; prices are adjusted accordingly.
Custom Orders
The design process usually begins with a discussion of a particular client's needs, available space, and design aesthetic. Existing furnishings and color schemes are factors that may come into play. Once general size, shape and material selections are firmed up, detailed drawings and a price quote are given. Upon acceptance and approval of the final quote a 50% deposit is required to begin work, with the balance due upon completion and before delivery. Lead time varies with the scope of the project, generally falling between 4 and 10 weeks.

Each piece is made to order, by hand, one piece at a time, from rough lumber to finished product.
In an effort to reduce the strain on our environment, salvaged, reclaimed and/or sustainable and responsibly harvested woods- as well as environmentally friendly finishes - are used whenever possible.

Only the most fundamentally sound joinery is used, indeed, instead of cutting corners we tend to overbuild, with an eye toward core objective number two above. Final shaping is done strictly by hand, where every surface is sculpted, smoothed and softened, in order to beg your touch.

It is more expensive to produce furniture this way; it is worth every penny.

It is more time consuming to produce furniture this way; it is worth every second.
