Manufacturer's Product Description

Design: Johannes Potente
It was most likely a smith in the distant past who first shaped a round piece of steel on his anvil to make a door handle. That is why it is also disparagingly called a stable-door handle. The end bent back towards the door was supposed to prevent the bridle getting caught. What was good for the animal world would enjoy a happy resurrection on doors a hundred years later in many materials and countless colours. With this scaled-down version, Johannes Potente wanted to introduce the model into homes, which he succeeded in doing.
