Manufacturer's Product Description

Overview

Tecnika uses the same raw materials as a 1,000-year-old Venetian Cathedral floor. It is available in 21 beautiful standard colors, three different finishes (polished, matte and brushed finishes), and an endless combination of custom colors and patterns. The Tecnika system provides a surface so solid that most people don't realize they are walking on a raised floor system.

Beautiful Environments

Tecnika, a beautiful Terrazzo raised access floor, enabling a truly flexible space in entryways, atriums and other focal point areas within a building. Tecnika creates a high end look yet allows full access to the building infrastructure under the floor enabling flexibility in underfloor air, modular power, voice and data solutions. Tecnika provides an unprecedented level of convenience and adaptability all in an access floor that doesn't look like one.

Flexibility/Adaptability

Tecnika working with Power Base AI and Pre-Terminated Zone Voice and Data creates a seamless, easily reconfigurable system of technology support creating maximum flexibility and performance. Utilizing a modular infrastructure results in easily accessible power and data connections throughout the floor plate that enable the space to be changed up to a day before occupancy. This is a sharp contrast to the need for coring and running brand new home runs every time a position is added or moved. This approach plans for the unforeseen. The result is significantly reduced cost to change now and in the future.

Sustainability

Not only does Tecnika contain more than 50% recycled content, it's certified by Greenguard Children and Schools as a low emitting product.

Building or renovating with conventional construction techniques can lead to "•А_fixed-in-place"•А_ problems down the road. When spaces change issues arise such as tearing down drywall, pulling up carpet, and cutting and removing cables and electrical, all that waste can end up in a landfill. Additionally, energy use suffers when Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems are installed overhead versus under the floor.

The Haworth Organic Workspace Solution can help support the building, your people, the environment and your company's bottom line in the following ways:

* Increased adaptability of products helps reduce waste
* Reduces building footprint
* Improves energy efficiency
* Provides healthy, productive built environments
* Supports your goals with sustainable design

Design Freedom

Because all the data and power for offices and workstations are under the raised floor, there is no need for power poles and core drilling. This gives a much cleaner aesthetic, avoids the cost and wasted time needed to continually core drill into the slab and eliminates the need for contractors to come in after move-in to get into the ceiling to install more data or electrical.

User Comfort/Control

Underfloor air designed into a building with air diffusers in each work station allows the user to adjust the amount of air coming into their personal workstation by turning the diffuser to an open or closed position. This control in each workstation optimizes the office occupants comfort and maximizes productivity.
