The wall mounted fixture is suitable for indoor and wet locations and provides gentle uplighting and area illumination. The fixture has a painted cast steel body with frosted vertical acrylic element, which is illuminated by a size 8 fiber optic cable. The remote illuminator source can be fitted with a color filter or wheel, with up to eight color segments. As many as 52 Calyx fixtures can be lit from one illuminator source, which ideally should be placed no more than 50 feet away from the fixtures. Since Calyx is a fiber optic fixture, there is no lamp, wiring or electrical parts at the point of illumination. The means for channeling light to each fixture is fiber optic cable, which can be either glass or plastic fiber.
