A monolithic piece with a very strong presence. The design is a tribute to the local culture of the Engadine valley in Switzerland, reinterpreted with a contemporary point of view. The choice of materials is the main expressive element. Wood logs harvested in the Engadine valley from centuries old trees in accordance with the Swiss Environmental Agency Plan are cut into precise geometric prisms that form part of the structure. The dimensions are as precise as the surface of the wood is kept as natural as the mark of the tools left it behind. Every piece is therefore slightly different. The steel part has a blackened finish that is reminiscent of old hardware and farming tools. Local culture made accessible through global language.
