This revision of Project 2448 demonstrates how we can imbue an existing fixture with new life at minimal cost and maximum benefit. The client was looking for a more crisp edge line with more color and depth. By changing the outer layer of fabric to a sheer material with fine threads of vertically running color, and adding bars to the bottom that pull the material taut, we were able to significantly alter the feeling of the fixture with minimal conversion cost. This design provided great volume and aesthetic presence in a structure that shipped very compactly with minimal risk to transit damage. Lamping is provided by four energy-efficient T5 High Output 54w lamps per shade. Many fabric choices are possible for this fixture.
